Generating Traffic
Once you have invested in a website you will want visitors. There are a number of ways to acheive this.
Traditional Advertising
Add your internet address to all advertising, in telephone directories, company vehicles, newspapers, business publications, company stationary and communications. This will allow people with access to the internet to find out more about your company, products and services, at any time, than would normally be possible within the space of an advert alone.
Internet Advertising / Directories
Whatever sector of business you are in there will be web sites dedicated to listing other companies that provide similar products and services. Many of these provide free entries and for some of the larger ones it is worth investing in adverts to make the link to your site attract attention. Ad Words
The worlds most popular search engine 'Google' runs a system called AdWords. In simple terms, once you have decided on the words that you wish to get results on, your web site will be listed on the right hand side of the google results page. This makes your site highly visible but they charge for this service each time somebody follows their link to your web site. How much they charge depends on the popularity of the words you have chosen. You pay in advance and once you are out of credit your site is no longer listed in the AdWords section.
Repeat Visitors
You can encourage customers to sign up online for your mailing lists. Periodically you can then generate an email to be sent to those requesting it. The email will most likely contain information regarding news, special offers and promotions with links to your web site. If your mailing list members like what they see they will re-visit your site to find out more.
Search Engines

Our clients sells his photographs and hand made greetings cards in galleries accross the UK. They place a flyer inside the greeting cards letting people know that they can purchase his full sized prints on the internet.
